WHERE THE TRAILS RETURN

Where the Trails Return, examines my life growing up in Humboldt County, Trinity County and Hoopa Valley Reservation. Located in Northern California, the remote and heavily forested landscape is mostly unaffected by the modern world.

The series was made on 4x5 and 35mm format film in and is enhanced by the use of traditional darkroom printing.

“ I have returned to the place I was raised. I walk in my own footsteps and see through a different lens.
Walking towards new memories, I return to my home along the Klamath River. Deep in these mountains, I reconnect with my people, past, and a way of life that is as simple and beautiful as much as it is hard living and full of challenges.”
